Self-Portrait Work

In this experiment I took logos of famous brands that are seen everywhere around the world and I place them onto objects that are not significant to us and have no value to us. By placing these ‘Famous’ logos on these objects, it would give it more ‘value’ than it would of without the brand on it.

For example people would rather buy clothes that have a brand on them like Nike, Adidas and other famous brands than buy clothes from The Warehouse and other second-hand shops because they think its more budget and its frowned upon because people would see you and think you would be poor. But all the clothes are the same they just have labels on them.

  1. This is a great experiment and display of your skills and evaluation, well done.
I am interested to see how you incorporate this idea into the portrait project.
Have you seen the image of Lil Kim by David LaChapelle?
